CRS Partners in Sudan
CRS Sudan works with civil authorities and civil society groups in all of its operations.
In Southern Sudan, CRS operates in close collaboration with United Nations agencies and humanitarian non-governmental organizations. Local partners include Catholic dioceses throughout the south, as well as international and Sudanese organizations, including Sudan Medical Care. In the north, CRS works with St. Joseph's Vocational Training Center, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and five other community-based organizations in Khartoum. In Darfur, CRS works closely with local community groups in the areas of food distribution, water and sanitation, shelter, and seeds fairs committees, as well as parent-teacher associations. In 2008, CRS Sudan will strive to establish new partnerships with university institutions and local church groups.
CRS Sudan's major donors include members of the international Catholic network, private foundations, the European Commission, the United Nations and the United States Agency for International Development.
